Country Clearance Approvals

USAID mission counterparts are often included as AID-Project users. In those cases, the software can be used to submit and approve country clearances online.
Using AID-Project for country clearances allows project staff to create country clearance requests — and to store resulting country clearance approvals — right in the online workplan.
- Country clearances are created in conjunction with travel line items entered into the workplan budget.
- Country clearance approvers are notified via email when a country clearance is submitted for approval, and again when the clearance is actually approved.
- A record of the country clearance approval remains in the system.
- The country clearance emails are customizable by the user, and can contain any text required by the USAID mission.
Document Approvals

Document approvals work much like country clearance approvals:
- Approvers are added to an Associated Document added to a Project Action, and the document is submitted for approval.
- All approvers are emailed, both when the document is submitted for approval, and again when the all approvers have approved the document.
- Any type of document can be submitted for approval: procurement requests, salary approvals, deliverables, etc. And the document types are also customizable.
