AID-Project Budgeting

AID-Project allows you to develop your project budget online — right in the context of the workplan.

Budgeting inside the workplan itself allows you to keep project activities and budgets in synch — if it's in the work plan, it should be in the budget, and vice versa. This simple rule is easy to enforce using AID-Project's online planning and budgeting features.

Line Item Types

AID-Project allows you to enter the following line item types into your budget:

  • Labor
  • Travel
  • Allowances
  • Other Direct Costs (ODCs)
  • Commodity
  • Training
  • Grant
  • Direct Labor Fringe Benefit

Multipliers: Prime and Subcontractor

For cost plus fixed fee contracts, AID-Project allows you to enter and track the appropriate multipliers for all contractors in the system. This leads to simple, yet very accurate budgeting since all multipliers are hidden from normal users.

Accurate budget projections ...

Every line item entered into the budget specifies:

  • The Contractor spending the money — which allows the line item to be marked up by the appropriate multipliers
  • The Start and End dates of spending — which allows the line item to be projected over the appropriate period.

This leads to very accurate budget projections in the AID-Project Reporting Application that can be rolled up:

  • By Subcontractor
  • By Component
  • Over any period of time

... to any level of detail

It is simple to export the budget data to Excel for any period of time desired, which allows users to see budget projections at as much level of detailed as required:

  • Component or Subcomponent
  • Contractor
  • Action Type
  • Line Item Type
  • Individual Person
  • Status (Planned, Active, Completed, Close)
  • For any date range

Or any combination of the above. See Reporting Application for more information.
