Desktop Reporting
AID-Project uses familiar desktop software already owned and installed by the user:
- MS-Access
- MS-Project
- MS-Excel
- MS-Word
MS-Access Reporting

AID-Project uses MS-Access as a reporting front-end. The reporting database imports data directly from the online database server, then provides a variety of reporting options for the user:
- Budget Projections
By Component and by Subcontractor, for any 12-month period.
- Project Action reports
Including a full detailed budget dump to MS-Excel. Data in Excel can be integrated with other backoffice applications as needed.
- Document reports
Exportable to MS-Word with active links to online documents. Great for monitoring deliverables, reports, contracts, and other documents uploaded into AID-Project.
- Results and Indicator reports
Showing how your project activities relate to indicators imported into AID-Project from an external M&E system
MS-Project Reporting

A special MS-Project file is provided that links directly to the online AID-Project database to import workplan data directly into Project.
The imported workplan can then be used to print out or otherwise publish a detailed Gantt chart of all project actions.
MS-Excel Reporting

The MS-Access reporting application provides several ways to export budget data directly to MS-Excel. Once in Excel, the user can use the data to:
- Filter budgets by project component, subcontractor, line item, action type (consultancy, training, procurement, etc.) for any period in the project.
- Transfer the data to other backoffice applications or spreadsheet as needed.
- Create charts or other output formats available in Excel.
- A myriad other uses that are limited only by the user's knowledge, skill, and creativity with Excel.
MS-Word Reporting

The MS-Access reporting application creates document reports that can be exported to MS-Word. From there, links to the online document are activated so that users may:
- View reports of documents (deliverables, reports, contracts, procurement documents, etc)
- Click the active links in Word to go directly to the online document.
